The "real gold and silver" in both regions support the high-quality development of cold chain logistics

Driven by strong consumer demand, China's cold chain logistics industry is entering a stage of rapid development, and policy support for cold chain logistics in various regions is also continuously increasing.
On March 27th, the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the application documents for the 2023 Hainan Modern Logistics Industry Development Award and Supplementary Fund (logistics information platform and cold chain facility direction), targeting logistics enterprises that have registered and have independent legal personality in Hainan Province. The specific support scope is divided into two directions: logistics information platforms and cold chain facilities. In the direction of logistics information platform, if the investment in building a logistics information platform exceeds 5 million yuan, a subsidy of 30% of the investment amount will be given, with a maximum of 3 million yuan; No subsidy will be given for investments below 5 million yuan. In the direction of cold chain facilities, if a total investment of 5 million yuan or more is required for the construction of a new cold storage (10000 cubic meters or more), purchase of refrigeration equipment, or refrigeration vehicles, a subsidy of 30% of the investment amount will be provided, with a maximum of 5 million yuan. Projects completed or purchased vehicles from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 can be declared.
In recent years, Yantian District of Shenzhen has vigorously developed import and export cold chain business. Yantian Port Area has become a popular port for cold chain imports in South China and also the third largest port for frozen meat imports in China. Recently, Yantian District has issued the "Support Measures for Accelerating the High Quality Development of Cold Chain Industry in Yantian District" (referred to as the "Support Measures"), providing strong support for Yantian to build an import cold chain trade distribution area.
The "Support Measures" propose to encourage refrigerated containers to pass through the Yantian District port for customs clearance, and to provide inspection subsidies for cold chain containers imported from the Yantian District port and successfully passed the customs inspection and quarantine process. This measure will reduce the cost of customs clearance for enterprises, improve the construction of port inspection facilities, and promote the cultivation of new cold chain businesses. At the same time, the "Support Measures" clearly stipulate that for cold chain goods that pass through Yantian District ports and have a global traceability center label, a subsidy of 0.2 yuan per label will be given. Provide one-time support to eligible enterprises that join the global traceability system for factory level traceability. This measure will attract more high-quality cold chain goods to land in Yantian and improve the safety level of cold chain food.
